Dr. Jessica Chasta, PT, DPT, WCS

Clinical Director, Physical Therapist

Jessica (she/her) earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, while playing softball. She received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in August 2015. In 2019 she became Board Certified in Women’s Health, through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. She has taught continuing education courses to other therapists who want to treat pelvic health conditions.

Jessica became interested in pelvic floor physical therapy during PT school. She was working at a free clinic that her school hosted, being supervised by a pelvic floor physical therapist who had her screen patients with back, hip and knee issues for bowel, bladder and sexual dysfunction. This opened her eyes to see that many people did not know they had pelvic floor dysfunction or if they did know, they didn’t know that there was anything that could be done about it and she wanted that to change!

Since 2015 Jessica has worked as a pelvic floor PT, seeing a wide variety of pelvic health conditions including bowel, bladder and sexual dysfunction as well as people who are pregnant or postpartum. She has always loved working with the pregnant and postpartum population as it is an underserved group of people who do not always have access to the most optimal care but are bombarded with often incorrect information online. Jessica loves mythbusting and empowering people to make informed decisions about what their bodies can do.

Recently becoming a parent herself has changed who she is as a PT in multiple ways, but what hasn't changed is her belief that it's never too early or never too late to work on your symptoms. (It's truly not!) She also strives to provide streamlined information so that the person in front of them can see how it applies to them specifically as an individual. She meets people where they are during treatment while helping them get to where they want to go.

In her free time, Jessica hangs out with her wife and daughter. This girl gang is always looking for breweries that have changing tables in their bathrooms, indoor and outdoor seating depending on the day, and a playground for the future. She loves coffee, bread and eggs in all forms and would love to tell you about the book she is reading.
