Being Prepared for the NICU

While we personally believe at Lady Bird that you can never be too prepared for birth, one aspect of birth that people do not typically prepare for is the NICU. Things like holding and feeding your baby are suddenly different than you expected and not to mention you have the added physical stress of having just birthed a baby.

Join us in October, where Jessica will interview Hollis Wakefield, a NICU doula.

In this interview we will discuss:

  • What are common reasons a baby would need to go to the NICU?

  • What are ways that parents can prepare for the NICU?

  • How can parents advocate for themselves and their baby in the NICU?

*Recording will be available to all who register.
